how to sew your own skirts?i think you can asked me.hihi

how do i make them skirts? it's not as hard as i thought. but it's goos enough if you have patience *which i don't* so i did not draw any patterns. what i did was simply drape/pleats and simply sew them.haha.
here is what you need. sufficient materials for sewing. scissors, measuring tape, cloth, etc etc.. when you git your cloth, make sure you measure the right height for your skirt. you don't want any extras. but as for me, i always like them sweeping the floor, i know it's not good, maybe i'm just afraid that my skirts will be shorter for my liking.

next, is the draping/ruffling/ pleating. any of which i like to call. this is to create an effect to your skirt later. for this brown chiffon i'd like it to be dreamy and flowy, so straight is a big no.  pleating would be hard seems it's a material which is hard to control. so ruffles. thebest thing about this one is that i dont have to measure how long. simply if the width of the skirt is big, i ruffles some more.sew sew sew! har harh..so it became like this.

but, there is also another one which i did which was the pleating. this one i have to be more precise in terms of the measuring since i want it to be just nice on my waist. secure them pleats with pins.and afterwards sew a straight line and then you can take off the pins.

here is the tricky part. i can imagine it very well in my mind now but to teach here is pretty complex. what i did was to sew on another piece of cloth to the body of the skirt. how to sew it? very complex. please email me for details. haha.oh, for the chiffon material, i ran short on the cloth so i had to use the grey materials which i had a lot extra.

and so it became like this. the waistband is the area that you have to sew*sort of like connect from the brown to the grey* oh yes, i forgot, i used zipper at the back for both skirts. and i suck at sewing it, very ugly,not good for teaching.

complete view of the skirt are as from the previous post. i have never learn sewing from any professional except my mother and i have not enough patience to do this as my sister *she- i think is a lot more patient than i do*..i do this because my current obsession is maxis, skirts, and maxi dress. which is coming for my next post!
